PROBLEM
With the legalization of cannabis in Canada, a potential client is looking to enter this market. Work as a team to build a parent brand identity for a new company called Newmarket Cannabis Hop House to pitch to a potential client. Also build three different non-alcoholic THC infused beer packages, with a website and point of purchase for the launch.
SOLUTION
Through researching competitor brands we created several logos and narrowed it down to three of those logos. At this point the potential client was happy with one and we were able to move forward with the sub-brands of beer. Naming each beer was a similar process, we came up with lots of different names, all based on locations in Newmarket that had historical significance. At this point we put together a small focus group and came out with one name for each beer. We were able to move forward with the label design, which involved each of us ideating and selecting a final style we wanted to go forward with and created illustrations and packaging design for each beer. We created webpages for the beer as well as point of purchase for the initial launch. Our idea behind the point of purchase was to make it look like the cans were in baskets under grow lights similar to what would be seen at a cannabis growing operation. We wanted the beers to stand out amongst the others while at the same time giving off a psychedelic and unique feeling.
